Garden Spotlights and Mood Lighting

This project was very exciting and based in a new build house in Rochester. The owners were in the process of organising an evening of entertainment for friends and family but had very little lighting making it difficult to see when the sun had set. Having very little to work with, we managed to remove a small light on the wall at the back of the house and use the main supply to power all lighting under the cladding.

We used small spotlights to ensure the lighting was not too intense and created enough light to illuminate the patio but not move over the grass. This was installed and protected with black conduit to match the colour of the cladding and ensure the finished works were neat and minimalist. The patio is well lit and covers across the width of the garden allowing the owners to spend as much time in the garden as possible when hosting evenings of entertainment.

In addition, we ran armoured cable under the new patio slabs and into the new flower beds to create warm up lighting. Four warm lights were connected to the armoured cable and are controlled by mains switches inside the house. The warm lighting created enough visibility for the whole garden if they did not wish to have the patio lights on too.

The work was completed in an afternoon by two of our electricians allowing the owners to host their party the next day. Our employers left the house with two very satisfied customers.
